Colors Of Fall (to be continued)

Abstract photos

The first photograph is titled tornado, and I am not quite sure what is in it. The second photograph has a water splash in it with the sky in the background. Both photos were shot by Totku. The first photo has a very abstract feel, while the second is not as much abstract as it just is close-up. The first photo has a lot of abstract lines in it. The second photo is more focused on the details of the water. Personally, I like both photos. I think that Totku did an amazing job taking them.

Comp. & Design Vocab

Tractor Factory, Stalingrad

This photo really stands out to me in terms of space and scale. The closeness and defined lines really drew my eye straight to the wheel and then the person working behind it.

Disruption Group

I absolutely adore the texture in this. It is slightly blurry but still defined enough to appreciate what the photographer has done. I absolutely love the color of the photo as well.

Julia Margaret Cameron, Julia Jackson

I really loved the amount of informal balance in this photograph. While it is not exactly identical, I appreciated the way it draws attention to the woman's face.

Light

Where you can find light:
  • Sun
  • Lamps
  • Moon
  • Candles
  • Fire
  • Flashlights

You can use light to strengthen concepts in pictures, use it to create shadows, to show more detail.

Just for reference, my photo assignment for light would be the previous two posts where I was using the sun to cast shadows/enhance the pictures.
